We are experimenting in this design to virtualize the living space of others, that is, to explore the infinite possibilities of life, trying to break the office monotony. Flexibility is a big concept for this office, in which the architect choose to minimize the usage of wall in the design, ensuring the flexible and undistracted view within the building.
To make the most of the site, the design has been develop into nearly boxy form with a lot of openings for natural sunlight. The main lobby is designed to be a full double height space to emphasis its grandness.
Interior finishes chosen for the offices include wooden floors and exposed. Multiple planters add greenery to the space. The 2nd floor is designed to be the main open office space with large opening to the garden balcony, allowing free working environments.
The 3rd floor is designated to be a meeting hall, in which it is designed to be the most private space in the building. The wood blind covered most of the 3rd floor skins to optimize the sense of privacy while maintaining the access of natural lighting to the space.
Transparency became an architectural theme at many levels, allowing an inviting and welcoming building that is accessible and open to public view. The transparency allows visual connection with its next-door garden, maintaining building’s relationship with its surrounding, blurring boundaries between inside and outside.
