CN House is a private residential building situated in medium density residential area in BSD. The client’s brief was to design a house of two storeys, with interior garden for an access to natural lighting and ventilation to the interior.
The facade of the design is expressed by 2 irregular masses and different materiality which enable the owner to control the amount of sun screening, breeze, and view.
Semi detached house often suffer from gloom in the centre part of the house. This problem is then solved by installing interior garden in the rear part of the site. It then provides great illumination to the interior, as well as acting as center point of the design.
Main living space is designed next to the garden, integrating interior and exterior, making garden space a natural calming backdrop to the main living space.
