The facades of a building visible from a street play an important role in contributing to the amenity and attractiveness of an area. Facades, therefore is designed to have a pleasing scale and appearance, proportion and rhythm, solid-to-void relationship and materiality. The Design was straight forward, in which the owner asked for a house which has proper ventilation, plenty of sunlight access to the interior, yet responding to its site quality.
The architect took an adaptive approach toward a more tropical architecture style. This style were simply appropriate toward Indonesian life style and climate. The architect cooperate planting and shading device from natural material, as well as canopy to give shading, controling the heat gain from the front facade.
