Located on quiet neighborhood of Villa Meruya, the facade of the house is designed as an additional element to the existing typical developer housing facade. Rumah Bersemi has been designed to enable the house to minimize the energy demand for air conditioning. It is achieved by controlling the heat and natural lighting intake from the facade and good cross ventilation throughout the design perimeter.
Rumah Bersemi is a renovation project to its existing typical developer house. One of the main design brief for this project to improve its façade, in which we compose the new façade base on 2 forms, the triangle frame and square box. The perforated sections in triangle steel frame, let in daylight and ventilation into the house.The triangle steel frame works as second skin façade, covering its existing pitch roof, as well as maintaining the building privacy from its surroundings.
The triangle frame yield opportunity to design exceptional lighting design and shadow play in the facade, adding to the geometric lines of the house.
